LIFE ON LOOP

I didn’t move to St Andrews to become a caddie, but caddying has become a big part of my life here.

I work primarily on the Old Course, spending hundreds of hours each year walking one of the most studied golf courses in the world with every type of golfer imaginable.

As a professional golfer, it’s given me a completely different education in the game. I get to watch how people make decisions, respond to pressure, manage expectations and experience golf — while seeing the same course play differently every day.

It has also given me opportunities to caddie in tournaments, meet people from around the world and understand St Andrews in a way I never could simply by playing here.

Caddying was originally something that allowed me to support my own playing career. Somewhere along the way, it became part of it.
